Mission Statement
Our mission is that, by God’s enabling grace, we would “bring about the obedience of faith” leading to both the salvation and sanctification of our youth. We endeavor, in partnership with parents, to see young people grow up into Christ and into the Church, through sound Biblical teaching and discipleship.

Effective Leadership

Develop and maintain a high standard of Biblically-based leadership

Define the roles, responsibilities, and expectations for both staff and volunteer leaders
Identify, train and equip those who serve as leaders in youth ministry

Teaching
|
A purposeful plan for Biblical instruction
|
Determine the instructional needs of youth throughout their time in youth ministry
Develop a plan for delivering this instruction
|
|
Family Partnering
|
Church and parents sharing in ministry responsibility
|
Increase involvement of parents in youth ministry
Improve communication to and with all parents
Provide parents with tools and instruction

Student Engagement
|
Increasing their stake in YM, and preparing them for service
|
Engage maturing youth in leadership roles within youth ministry
Seek out NCC youth currently outside youth ministry

Church Integration
|
Leading our youth towards active service in the Body

Promote active involvement of maturing youth in ministry at NCC
Encourage leaders in other NCC ministries to engage and mentor youth in those ministries
Prepare youth for lifelong service in the Church

Discipleship

Advancing spiritual maturity toward completeness in Christ

Develop purposeful relationships between adult leaders and youth
Create regular opportunities for group discipleship

Evangelism
|
Bringing the good news of salvation in Christ alone

Communicate the gospel to those in youth ministry
Communicate the gospel to youth outside NCC
Equip youth to communicate the gospel

Values
